Bailey Wighton are an independent family run business that have been in the same location since the company was established in 1958. Showcasing ALL our wonderful products in our latest display format, our eye-catching and easy to use Play Studio. Bring along your paint charts and fabric samples and choose at your leisure.

Customers can be assured of a warm welcome in store not just from Owner, Peter, but also from Emily, Kieran and Naomi, who look after the front of house and will help expertly advise on your new flooring design. Plus, Peter is a hands on business owner and can often be found with his experienced fitting team of Jake, Josh, Kern and Henry, who will visit your home to advise, measure, install and support you through your buying journey.

We think you're great, but why should local people visit your store?

“We are an independent family-run business that has expertise in a wide variety of floor coverings. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and we have a large and fully stocked showroom, so we can always find the perfect flooring for you.”

What do you love about your local area? Any Quirky Facts?

“Royal Tunbridge Wells is a fantastic blend of urban and rural environments; a historic Spa Town that is situated in the Heart of The High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with excellent links to both London and the coast. The name is derived from the Natural Spring waters (said to provide numerous health benefits) which popularised the spa town, leading to it being frequented by Royalty, receiving its Royal Prefix in 1909. Despite the town being a hub of activity, especially for shoppers, there are always plenty of cosy nooks to snuggle into.”

What's the best thing about Alternative Flooring? What's your favourite Alternative product?

“Alternative Flooring offers unique and colourful designs, in a wide variety of products as well as Naturals like Sisal and Jute. This paired with a fantastic ethos, and caring about the planet, makes them an easy recommendation for all types of customers. The Make Me A Rug designer is specifically a highlight, providing both our in-store team and our customers an easy-to-use tool to visualise their creations in an instant.”
